Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 13 June 2026
Glimpse works because it's personal. It's built for genuine, one-to-one outreach to local businesses you could really help — not for spam. This policy keeps it that way, and keeps you on the right side of the law.
The spirit of it
Imagine walking into a café and offering to show the owner a better website you built for them. That's the vibe Glimpse is for: relevant, respectful, low-volume, genuinely useful. If something you're about to send wouldn't feel right said in person, don't send it.
Please do
- Contact local businesses you can genuinely help, with a real preview made for them.
- Keep it personal — send from your own name, mention something specific about them.
- Keep volumes sane. A handful of thoughtful emails beats a blast every time.
- Identify yourself honestly and include a working way to opt out.
- Honour every unsubscribe immediately — Glimpse adds people who opt out to a suppression list automatically, and you should never override it.
Please don't
- Send bulk, generic, or repetitive spam.
- Buy, scrape, or upload purchased contact lists.
- Email anyone who has unsubscribed or asked not to be contacted.
- Misrepresent who you are or where the message comes from.
- Send anything misleading, offensive, harassing, or unlawful.
- Use Glimpse for anything other than legitimate local-business outreach.
The law (Australia)
Commercial electronic messages in Australia are governed by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). In practice that means you need consent (express, or reasonably inferred from an existing or obvious business relationship), you must clearly identify yourself, and you must include a functional unsubscribe and honour it within 5 business days. If you contact people outside Australia, their local rules (e.g. GDPR/PECR in the EU/UK, CAN-SPAM in the US) may also apply — that's your responsibility as the sender.
If you misuse Glimpse
We may warn, throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that breach this policy or that generate spam complaints. We'd much rather help you do great outreach — reach out if you're unsure whether something's okay.
